THE A5 BOOK REVIEWLonely Planet has a number of amazing books for children, and one of our favorites is (appropriately titled) The Travel Book. Over 200 countries are represented, each with its own dedicated page highlighting how people live, sports and festivals, interesting foods, natural flora and fauna, prominent geographical features, and fun quirky facts. The photography and illustrations are compelling, but this is more than a picture book. We like that there is enough factual information that helps curious children better connect with what makes each country special and unique. This book makes a great gift of course, one that children will open again and again with curiosity as they want to learn more and more about the world. Perfect for ages 8 years and up.
