THE A5 REVIEWOur favorite atlas comes from National Geographic, published to celebrate the 100th anniversary of National Geographic geography. This tenth edition atlas simply packs a ton of information, including of course illustrated maps but also great insights and graphics on global themes like population trends, climate change, and the world economy. There is a ton of information on all 195 countries, with an exhaustive name-place index. The book itself is very well constructed, with a nice cover that includes a double sided map of the world today contrasted with the first world map published as a supplement to National Geographic Magazine in 1922. Makes an excellent gift for college graduates and those who like to travel.
